We are proud to be on the cutting edge of medical technology. Radiology is a technique and diagnostic tool that we use to look inside the body in a completely non-invasive way. Radiology allows us to see an overall look at the organs and bone structures within the pet.
We have both Digital Radiology and Digital Dental Radiology. Not only does having digital radiology allow us to get results faster and more accurately, but it reduces the large amount of waste that is involved with traditional film radiology.
Every patient that presents for a dental cleaning, will receive full mouth digital dental radiographs.
These images allow us to view and diagnose multiple problems within the mouth that we are not able to see with a physical exam. If you would like to see what normal and abnormal dental radiographs look like, you visit our dental page here.
When performing radiographs on other parts of the body, we are allowed to see a general view of the pet’s organs and bone structures. These images can help us see things like fractures, bladder stones, enlarged hearts, and sometimes, even masses in the chest and abdomen. It can also help us rule out some of the possible diagnoses by showing us that the radiographs appear to be normal.
With each set of radiographs we take, we have a board-certified radiologist read them, and provide us a report. This ensures that the most trained eyes are looking over your pet’s radiographs to find any concerns that may be present.
